Alphabet tracing/threading

I just did some threading activity template which I think is very beneficial for the little ones. Firstly, the theme is on animals/insects/sea creatures. Secondly, if you notice, the animals are in the “writing direction”.

Very visual.

Very kinesthetic.

Have fun!

Framing her artworks

Ever since Ulfa showed her excitement and extreme happiness upon seeing her artwork on my wall, I have been surfing the net to get ideas on how to display all her other artworks, neatly.

Of course, I even thought of the most elegant way (but the price is horrible!). After considering tonnes of factors, I decided to do it the simple way. IKEA’s colourful multi-sized frames!

I have filled some of the frames already (super duper excited!) and will display them soon in my room. Of course, I will take pictures of them on my wall.

But now, I need to get the paste-on hooks and I must be very sure the frames won’t be out of alignment.

Paint with the mahjong paper

We were watching an episode on “Colours” where one of the Hi-5 members was painting with a few colours and so I thought to myself, “Hey, let’s do this!”

And we did!

She chose some of the colours…

I splat it on the paper for her.

The I let her paint with her fingers, something she really enjoy doing as compared to painting with the brush.

In the middle of her finger painting.

Did I mention painting with mahjong paper? Opps, correction! Painting with mahjong paper, foot…

Hands! Hehe.

Or maybe it should be…mahjong paper, hands and LEGS. Lol.

I pasted it on my bedroom wall while waiting for it to dry. But I think, I will let it be there. Because the lil one gets so excited everytime she sees her painting.
